Ballydehob Community Council Newsletter
ISSUE : December 2010
We come to the last newsletter of 2010 and they say heading into another spell of cold frosty arctic weather once again. Cork County Council workers did very well keeping the village and main roads passable for the most part in the last spell of bad weather. Ballydehob Area Community Council played its part in contacting Cork County Council for the provision of grit for the village’s secondary roads. We hope that the next spell of arctic weather won’t inconvenience people too much and that people will keep an eye out for their elderly neighbours.
We would like to thank Jimmy Donegan, Gerard O’ Driscoll and Dan Collins for erecting all the Christmas trees throughout the village and the crib which all contributes to the festive spirit. On this Sunday December 19th at 3.30 p.m. Santa will arrive at the crib with lots of pressie’s for all the children. This will be followed by the official turning on of the Christmas tree lights. We hope to see you all there.
On that note I on behalf of the Ballydehob Area Community Council Ltd would like to wish you all a very Happy and peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Martin Swanton. Chairperson. BCC.
