This far ‘Wesht’ of the pale you may prefer to drive whilst here to get the most out of our whole peninsula. Coming from Cork city follow the N71 west. You’ll come through Bandon, Clonakilty, Leap, Rosscarbery, Skibbereen & finally to Ballydehob. There’s nothing sweeter than the picturesque approach to Ballydehob. Travel time from city centre or the airport – approx 90 minutes
From Kerry follow the N71 east. You’ll come through Glengarriff, Ballylickey, Bantry and (follow the right turn) over beautiful Barnagaoithe gap. Travel time from Kenmare – approx 60-70 minutes.
By Bus
You can catch the 237 bus from Cork city centre. It takes approx 2.5 hours and you can get more info from the Bus Eireann website.

By Plane
From Dublin Airport you can catch the Aircoach to Cork City and then a Bus Eireann to Ballydehob. You may choose to hire a car from Dublin airport. The drive from Dublin to Ballydehob is approximately 5 hours.
From Cork Airport drive time is approx 90 minutes. If driving is really not your thing then you may either catch Bus Eireann into the city Centre and catch another to Ballydehob, or if that sounds like a drag you may wish to call one of our local taxi drivers to come collect you.
