Secrets of the Ballydehob Buffet: A souvenir recipe book:
Annual buffet puts Ballydehob on the Foodie map.

Saturday 21st October 2006 was an auspicious date for Ballydehob when local people and special guests gathered to celebrate their annual buffet appearing in print. Mayor of Cork County, Cllr. John Patrick O'Shea from Bantry officiated at the event, which included the formal opening of the recently refurbished hall kitchen and the Community Hall Charity Shop.

The local Committee who run the community hall took a brave step and decided to produce a book of the recipes of local dishes contributed to the annual community event. The result has been a high quality stylish keepsake of local and far flung recipes, beautiful illustrations and a fundraiser for the community hall. Buying the book enables everyone to share in the celebration of some of whats best about Ballydehob, the people, the traditions, the craic and some delightful local hospitality.
