Ballydehob Cardiac First Responder Group


This group is composed of volunteers from the Ballydehob area who will be on-call for heart attacks, choking, stroke & cardiac arrest. We have completed training in first aid and the defibrillator and regularly undergo reviews for this training. There well be two different members of the group dealing with emergencies every week.

The group organised a church gate collection with great success. The following amounts were collected St. Brigid’s €300, St. Matthias €272, Aughadown & Kilcoe St. Matthew’s €91.65. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
We are very grateful to the Charity Shop in Ballydehob Community Hall for €500 which they donated to the group. Thank you also to the Ballydehob Community Council for all the support financially and otherwise in helping us to get set-up.
All monies fundraised will buy much needed training equipment & a second defibrillator for Ballydehob village.
The help, support & training of Brendan Leahy HSE Leading Ambulance Paramedic, & his instructors Vera McGuire, Pat Fitzgerald, David Sheehy & Mary-Louise McCarthy have been invaluable.
A lot more fundraising is need for this vital service for Ballydehob, we will be hosting a Family Fun Day in the Community field on Sunday 10th July from 12:30pm, lots of fun for all the Family, BBQ, Face Painting, Live Local Music, Bouncy Castle & lots more, please come along to support this very worthy & vital service for Ballydehob.
